The solution for wireless data acquisition


The Bluetooth module is a micro processor controlled OEM module for the simple connection of different serial interfaces, e.g. RS232 or RS485, to the wireless Bluetooth standard. Due to a special antenna design the wireless connection can reach up to 25 meters and be based on the international, license-free Bluetooth Class2 (25mW transmitting power) standard.

Using the frequency hopping, spread-spectrum technology (FHSS) on the 2.4 GHz ISM band (industrial, scientific and medical band) a high interference immunity for data transmission is achieved.

The Bluetooth Module can be operated as Bluetooth master or slave in the serial port profile (SPP) and can be protected against unauthorised access using a freely selectable authentication PIN.

A multitude of different applications can be realised With the OEM Bluetooth module, without being conversant the technical details of the Bluetooth technology, e.g.:
  • Serial point to point connections (RS232, RS485)
  • ireless RS232 / infrared bridge
  • Wireless diagnosis and programming connections
  • Potential separation between interfaces
  • Building of master / slave connections
  • Control and diagnosis
The configuration of the different communication parameters of the module such as speed, parity or unit name is carried out using the supplied configuration software.
