C2000 Router Series
Router / Gateway with Modular Architecture
The C2000 series router is based on a modularly structured hardware and software architecture.
The base unit is already equipped with comprehensive router and firewall functionality.
Interface extensions and customer specific hardware can be realised via the three plug-in slots.
The upgrade with 3G+ and WiFi takes place internally requiring no plug-in slot.
The fully implemented IPSec standard as well as the optional OpenVPN guarantee the highest security when transmitting
data. The authentication can optionally take place using deposited certificates or pre-shared keys. All modern
encryption algorithms such as 3DES or AES with a key length of up to 256 bit are supported. The permanently
established VPN tunnel (configurable) allows the integration of the router in a company network which can be accessed
via a network (also mobile) with private IP addressing. DynDNS is therefore no longer necessary. If required the
router can also be accessed via DynDNS.
Terminal devices can either be connected via WLAN (optional) or via Ethernet.
A fixed connection can be implemented and integrated in the backup management using one of the existing USB interfaces
and the optionally available USB powered DSL modem.
The configurable high-security firewall with intrusion detection and the possibility for scripts and rules protects
your network safely against attacks.
The integrated pearl scripting interpreter offers the possibility of installing your own software.
Especially for transmission of video data, the router series offers special buffer management as well as an optional
memory extension.
An FTP server allows storage and retrieval of data.
The optionally available 3G+ and soon 4G radio connectivity is achieved dependant on the model using a quad-band modem,
LTE/HSPA/UMTS/EDGE/GPRS/(optional GSM). Dual SIM support as well as intelligent backup management ensures an
extremely high reliability and therefore a nearly 100% availability.
A LTE version of the C2000 router series is expected to be available from the 2nd quarter of 2010 onwards.
The integrated GPS (with the optionally available 3G+ modem) permits transmission of the exact physical location of
the router.
The router series can be locally or remotely configured, for this reason a convenient user interface is included.
In the expert mode the router is configured using a command line interface, and this can even be accessed and
configured via SMS (e.g. initiating a reset).
