• Foundation of the company by Antherm Pickhardt.
  • In the very same year, TDT developed its own test system for data communication.
  • At the CeBIT exhibition in Hanover, TDT introduced a protocol converter, made by a Canadian company, which allowed access to the public X.25 network.
  • TDT also presented an asynchronous protocol converter online, connected to the Bernet-node in Berlin, which was the test system of the German Federal Post Office.
  • TDT's own production of data communication equipment and the foundation of a revolutionary service offering: remote diagnostic service.
  • From TDT's headquarters data networks worldwide including all relevant vendor independent equipment could be monitored, sources of errors diagnosed and repaired. This procedure allowed a continual quality supervision of data networks and enabled new cost-effective service structures. A creeping error situation could be recognized in advance and when it occured, an immediate correction could take place, ensuring continual system availability.
  • The Single PAD and various PC Cards for the connection of PCs to the X.25 network went into production. This device series (Packet Assembler Disassembler) enabled simple termial equipment, such as PCs or terminals to access data bases and host systems worldwide. Every accessible X.25 packet switching network was used. Within ten years TDT had systematically developed and produced a variety of devices for X.25 networks.
  • The DCC Data Communication Computer, a milestone in data communication, enabled the construction of X.25 networks. The DCC and the SinglePAD supported all common protocols.
  • Development of the network management system »NetMACS«. This powerful operator's tool provided simple and cost effective administration and error diagnostics for X.25 networks.
  • Setup of the first X.25 satellite connection in the former GDR within ten days in cooperation with Telekom, Deutsche Post, Dornier, Robotron und Gricon.
  • Development of the Crypto-Module for an encrypted data transfer in X.25 networks.
  • Connection of LAN networks to the X.25 network.
  • The company is led by Michael Pickhardt in the second generation, where half of the fifty employees worked on the development of new products.
  • TDT introduced it's solutions for the connection of ISDN with the X.25 network at CeBIT in Hanover. TDT was the first producer granted the necessary approval from the Federal Bureau of Approval for Telecommunication (BZT).
  • Presentation of the SinglePAD TA at the SYSTEMS 95. The SinglePAD TA was developed especially for use in ISDN networks with simultaneous access to the X.25 network via X.31.
  • Development of the new DCC System 3. The consequent evolution of the DCC created for the future demands in data communication. (Frame Relay, ISDN, PRI etc.).
  • Development of the new SinglePAD System 3, SingleFRAD and a SinglePAD TA series (TA-ALPHA, TA-DELTA, TA-SIGMA).
  • Launch of the dial-in pool and the completion of the TA series with the TA-BETA and TA-OMEGA. New, trend-setting features for the DCC System 3. The development of the active ISDN-OEM-module TA6, the NetMate® series and SinglePAD/GSM excellently round off the product range of high-quality high-tech devices from TDT.
  • Development of a speech data multiplexer and the introduction of NetMacs 3®.
  • Development of a VPN Router series (R1650).
  • The R1650 was integrated in the LOTTO Rheinland Pfalz GmbH network. 1.600 points of purchase with 100.000 transactions per day are connected over IPSec tunnels.
  • New development of the R Router series with the R510 and R520 models.
  • Development of the ISDN tester PA2000.
