1978 |
- Foundation of the company by Antherm Pickhardt.
- In the very same year, TDT created its own test system for data communication, which implied complete
digital operation.
|
1979 |
- At the CeBIT Hanover, TDT introduced a protocol converter, made by a Canadian company, which
allowed access to the public X.25 network.
- TDT also presented an asynchronous protocol converter online, connected to the Bernet-node in Berlin,
which was the actual test system of the German Federal Post.
|
1982 |
- TDTs own production of data communication equipment and the foundation of a revolutionary service
offering: remote diagnostic service.
From TDTs headquarters data networks worldwide including all relevant vendor independent equipment can
be monitored, sources of errors diagnosed and repaired. This procedure allows a continual quality
supervision of data networks and enables new cost-effective service structures. A creeping error
situation is realised in advance and when it occurs, an immediate correction can take place, ensuring
continual system access.
|
1984 |
- The Single PAD and various PC Cards for the connection of PCs to the X.25 network go into production.
This device series (Packet Assembler Disassembler) allows simple end-equipment, such as PCs or Terminals
worldwide, access to data base and host systems. Every accessible X.25 packet switching network is used.
In the past ten years TDT has systematically developed and produced a variety of devices for X.25
networks.
|
1988 |
- The DCC Data Communication Computer, a milestone in data communication, enables the construction of
X.25 networks. The DCC and the SinglePAD support all common protocols.
|
1989 |
- Development of the network management system »NetMACS«. This highly efficient operator's
tool simplifies the administration of X.25 networks and the error diagnostics.
|
1990 |
- Together with the Telekom, German PTT, Dornier, Robotron and Gricon create the first X.25 connection
to the GDR via satellite, within ten days.
|
1991 |
- Development of the Crypto-Module for an encrypted data transfer in X.25 networks.
|
1992 |
- Access of LAN networks to the X.25 network.
|
1993 |
- The company is directed by Michael Pickhardt in second generation, where half of the fifty employees
work on the development of new products.
|
1995 |
- TDT introduces it's solutions for the connection of ISDN with the X.25 network at CeBIT in Hanover.
TDT is the first producer granted the necessary approval from the Federal Bureau of Approval for
Telecommunication (BZT).
- Presentation of the SinglePAD TA at the SYSTEMS 95. The SinglePAD TA was developed especially for
use in ISDN networks with simultaneous access to the X.25 network via X.31.
|
1996 |
- Development of the new DCC System 3. The consequent evolution of the DCC created for the future
demands in data communication. (Frame Relay, ISDN, PRI etc.)
|
1997 |
- Development of the new SinglePAD System 3, SingleFRAD and a SinglePAD TA series (TA-ALPHA,
TA-DELTA, TA-SIGMA).
|
1998 |
- Launch of the dial-in pool and the completion af TA-BETA and TA-OMEGA to the TA series. New,
trend-setting features for the DCC System 3. The development of the active ISDN-OEM-module TA6, the
NetMate® series and SinglePAD/GSM excellently round off the product range of high-quality high-tech
devices from TDT.
|
1999 |
- Development of a speech data multiplexer and introducing NetMacs 3®.
|
2000 |
- Development of a Multiprotocol-Routers, the ALPHA Router.
- Completion of different OEM Products, e. g. the OEM TA Phone.
|
2001 - 2002 |
- Development of a VPN Router series (R1650).
- The R1650 would be integrated in the LOTTO Rheinland Pfalz GmbH Network. 1.600 points of acceptance
with 100.000 transaction per day are connected over IPSec tunnels.
|
2003 |
- Development of the R-Router models R510 and R520.
- Development of the ISDN tester PA2000.
|
2004 |
- Enhancements of the R-Router Serie with the R515, R525 and R51 GPRS Router.
- Development of the R420 ISDN Router.
- Development of the R625 UDS VPN Central-Side-Routers.
- Enhancement of the LOTTO Hessen GmbH networks with mobile GPRS Router.
|
2005 |
- Development of the G-Serie.
- Enhancement of the R51 GPRS Router with EDGE functionality.
- Enhancement of the Productportfolio with Networkbased (SNMP) switchable socket outlets.
- Connection of the approximately 1.600 ALDI south branches on a POS (Electronic Cash) System with the R420 ISDN Router.
|
2006 |
- Development of the R64SX series.
- Enhancement of the Productportfolio with ROS-conformity (Directives 2002/96/EU and 2002/95/EU from 27. Januar 2003).
- Development of the M3000.
|
2007 |
- Development of the R640 Router Serie.
- Development of the C2000 Router Plattform.
